OSWEGO CO. -- Multiple ambulances and a helicopter were called to the scene of a one-car crash on Interstate 81 in Oswego County.

The call to 911 came in around 7:17am Thursday morning.

Police say the car ran off the highway, rolled into a ravine, and came to rest by a tree.

911 is unsure how many people were in the car but one person was airlifted to a hospital with injuries. The Sheriff’s office says the injury does not appear to be fatal.

I-81 was down to one lane near Exit 35, Tinker Tavern Road, while crews worked on the scene.
