MATTYDALE -- A registered sex offender accused of brutally attacking a 12 year old has been indicted on several charges.
Prosecutors say 35-year-old Scott Miles broke into a Mattydale home in September and attacked a 12 year old boy, beating the victim while he was sleeping. The child was critically injured at the time, but has recovered.
Miles was indicted on charges of burglary, assault, criminal possession of a weapon and failure to register an internet identifier. Prosecutors say he got a new Facebook profile without telling them.
