TRENTON -- A car fire lead to the DWI arrest of a Holland Patent woman.

It happened on Mapledale Road in the Town of Trenton. State police say 22-year-old Robyn Owens was drunk when the engine of her car partially engulfed in flames in the westbound lane of Mapledale Road.

Barneveld firefighters responded to the scene and put out the flames. Police say the car caught fire due to a mechanical malfunction.

Police say Owens had a blood alcohol content of .18 percent and was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated. She was issued tickets and is scheduled to appear in Trenton Town Court on April 17.
