BALDWINSVILLE -- A Baldwinsville principal has been named New York State Elementary School Principal of the Year.
The School Administrators Association of New York State (SAANYS) named Tony Cardamone Elementary School Principal of the Year. Cardamone is the principal at Elden Elementary School and has served in that role for the last seven years.
He previously taught kindergarten, second grade and reading in the district. "Tony Cardamone is a dedicated administrator, committed to providing the students under his care with the quality education they deserve and the guidance and environment they need to reach their full potential," said Superintendent Jeanne Dangle.
Cardamone is now in the running for the title of National Elementary School Principal of the Year, which the National Association of Elementary School Principals will announce later this year.
