Branchport man arrested for setting fire to a person’s property

GORHAM -- A Branchport man was arrested for intentionally causing $1,500 in damage to personal property, police say.

Brian Lindasy, 26, is accused of intentionally setting fire to and destroying a number of items belonging to a resident of the Town of Italy.

Police say the amount of property damage was over $1,500.

Police charged Lindsay with second degree criminal mischief, a felony, and fifth degree arson, a misdemeanor.

Lindsay was arraigned in the Italy Town Court and remanded to the Yates County Jail in lieu of $10,000/$20,000 bail.
