SYRACUSE -- Another candidate is joining the race for Congress in Syracuse.
Thursday morning at the Regional Transportation Center, Ursula Rozum announced she is running for Congress on the Green Party line. Rozum is a Syracuse native. She says she is running because Democrats and Republicans have failed to solve basic problems, like funding public transportation. "My generation, and our future, need a Congress that can solve our problems," she says.
Republican Ann Marie Buerkle currently holds the seat. Another Republican, Robert Paul Spencer, is challenging her.
Democrat Dan Maffei is also running. He lost a close race to Buerkle in 2010.
