SODUS (AP) -- Searchers have recovered the body of a 66-year-old man whose fishing boat capsized last fall in Lake Ontario's Sodus Bay in Central New York.

The Wayne County Sheriff's Office says the body of Alan Shultz was found along the south shore of Sodus Bay Saturday morning.

Shultz was fishing with 48-year-old David Schueler of Williamson last October when their 16-foot aluminum boat capsized in Sodus Bay, about 50 miles northwest of Syracuse.

Police said the two men clung to the boat, but Shultz drifted away after half an hour. Schueler held on for more than four hours until another fisherman spotted him and pulled him to safety. He was treated for hypothermia.

Neither man was wearing a life jacket.
