SCHROEPPEL, OSWEGO CO. -- Two teenagers are facing charges in an armed robbery in Schroeppel.

It happened around 2:43 a.m. Sunday at the FastTrac gas station at 234 State Route 264 in the Town of Schroeppel.

Oswego County Sheriff's deputies say 19-year-old Shawn Guppy, of 8 Lock Street in Phoenix, and a 16-year-old boy used a knife in a threatening manner to rob the convenience store.

Guppy is charged with robbery, conspiracy, petit larceny, endangering the welfare of a child, criminal possession of a weapon and making a false punishable statement. He was arraigned in Schroeppel Town Court and was sent to the Oswego County Correctional Facility in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bail bond. He's due back in court on April 18.

The 16-year-old, who we are not identifying because of his age, is charged with robbery, conspiracy, petit larceny, criminal possession of a weapon and making a false punishable statement. He was arraigned in Schroeppel Town Court and released on his own recognizance. He is due back in court on May 2.

The incident remains under investigation.
