The man accused of killing the mother of his child in a drunk driving accident will go to prison.
Mark Richter pleaded guilty in Onondaga County Court Monday morning to vehicular manslaughter and endangering the welfare of a child. Prosecutors said Richter was drunk last May when he crashed in Clay, killing 23-year-old Debra Brown. Their young son was also hurt in the crash.
Richter had originally pleaded not guilty.
Richter could face three to five years, in prison at his sentencing next month.
