ROME, ONEIDA CO. -- Rome police say an 11-month-old child died from a blocked airway while sleeping on a couch. That's according to autopsy results just released this morning.

Police say 11-month-old Kaitlyn Tennant was sleeping on a living room couch with her mother and two young siblings. At some time during the night, police say Kaitlyn's legs got trapped in the couch cushions, causing her body to go face down on the couch. Police say the little girl's airway got blocked, causing her death.

The girl's mother tried to give her CPR. Police do not suspect any foul play.

The investigation continues.
