UTICA -- A 19-year-old man suffered a facial fracture after being hit in the face with a set of brass knuckles.

Police arrested 23-year-old Deandre Preaster, of Utica, for allegedly hitting a 19-year-old man in the face with brass knuckles.

Police say Preaster allegedly began to fight with the man at the Fastrac on Oneida Street in Utica. When the two men separated, Preaster allegedly threatened the other man.

The victim walked away and was in the 1500 block of Oneida St. when police say Preaster pulled up next to him and hit the victim in the face with brass knuckles.

The victim sustained a facial fracture.

Police charged Preaster with second degree assault, a felony, and criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.
