Suspicious death in Syracuse now ruled a homicide

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police say a suspicious death has been ruled a homicide.

Last Saturday the body of 27-year-old Carnell Marshall was found in a vacant lot behind the Mavis Discount Tire store on South Salina Street.

The cause of death is still under investigation but police say the death has been ruled a homicide. Syracuse Police are looking for any information on the victim or the circumstances surrounding his death. They want to speak with anyone who saw a disturbance or fight in the area of South Salina Street and McAllister Avenue between Thursday, April 12th and Saturday, April 14th.
