Murder arrest made in death of man found behind Syracuse tire store

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police have charged Gregory Ware, 27, of South Avenue in Syracuse, with second degree Murder and third degree criminal possession of a weapon in connection with the killing of Carnell E. Marshall, 27, of Syracuse.

Marshall's body was found behind the Mavis Discount tire store on South Salina street last Saturday morning. Ware was arraigned Saturday morning in front of Syracuse City Court Judge Vanessa Bogan. He is being held without bail in the Onondaga County Justice Center.

Police say the case is still very active and open, and that no further information can be released at this time.
