SYRACUSE -- Syracuse police are searching for a man they say is wanted for murder.

Police are trying to get information on Lewis Swift, 31, of 106 McAllister Avenue. Police say Swift is wanted for taking part in the murder of Carnell Marshall on Thursday, April 12th. Police say Marshall was killed in the 100 block of McAllister Avenue. His body was found two days later behind the Mavis tire store on South Salina Street.

Police say Swift should be considered armed and extremely dangerous. Anyone who has information on his location is asked to call police at 315-442-5222 or 911 immediately.

Police say no one should attempt to confront him. The investigation continues.

On Saturday, police announced Gregory Ware was charged with second degree murder in Marshall's death. He was arraigned and is being held at the Justice Center without bail.
