SENECA FALLS -- An Ohio woman is accused of leading Seneca Falls police on a chase.
The chase started on Cayuga Street after 33-year-old Erin Christ was stopped for speeding. Police say she refused to provide the officer with her driver's license and took off, leading them on a chase down St. Rt. 5, passing vehicles and traveling into Cayuga County where she eventually stopped at a roadblock just west of the Finger Lakes Mall.
Christ is charged with unlawful fleeing a police officer, reckless driving, speed in zone, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, following too closely, failure to comply with lawful order, drove left of pavement markings, failure to keep right and unreasonable speed.
She was arraigned in Waterloo Village Court and sent to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond. Christ is scheduled to reappear in Seneca Falls Town Court on May 10.
