NATURAL BRIDGE, JEFFERSON CO. -- A Fort Drum soldier is accused of menacing another man during a dispute.

26-year-old Vincent Herzog is charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

State Police responded to 43876 State Route 3 in Natural Bridge in the Town of Wilna for a menacing complaint between Herzog and Maurice Palmer, who were at the home to help Herzog's former roommate, Dominic Foster, get personal property from the home.

Police say Herzog asked Palmer to leave the apartment. When he refused, police say Herzog went into his bedroom and got an unloaded rifle, pointed it at Palmer and demanded he get out.

Police say Herzog had two handguns without a pistol permit. He was arraigned in the Town of Wilna Court and sent to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility in lieu of $1,000 cash bail.
