A Pittsford native has died in the line of duty in Afghanistan
A Navy Lieutenant is the latest Upstate casualty of the Afghan conflict.
The Department of Defense reports that 28 year old Christopher Mosko, from Pittsford, a Rochester suburb, died on Thursday in the Nawa district of Ghazni Province in Afghanistan. Lt. Mosko was assigned as a Navy Explosive Ordnance Platoon Commander, and died 'while conducting combat operations.' He was deployed from EOD Mobile Unite 3 in San Diego.
