Trooper ok, suspect in Onondaga County Jail
A Honeoye Falls man is in jail in Syracuse, charged with ramming a Trooper car during a Thruway chase
A thruway car chase that started Saturday night near the Montezuma Wildlife Refuge, ended in Onondaga County with the suspect's tires flattened by State Police.
Troopers say that 26 year old Jesse Corson, from Honeoye Falls, did not stop in the Town of Tyre (Seneca County), and led troopers eastbound on the Thruway. Some patrol cars got in front to slow him down, but one of them was rammed several times by the suspect's pickup truck, spinning the patrol car out of control and flipping it over on the Thruway shoulder. The trooper had minor injuries.
Corson was stopped by a tire deflation device that flattened all four of his tires. He was charged in Van Buren court with unlawfuly fleeing a police officer, reckless endangerment , criminal mischief and more, and was sent to the Onondaga County Jail on $100,000 bail.
