Lots of information about schools on the CNYSBA website

If you want to do more with your schools, have you considered a seat on your school board?  Forget about this year, elections come up in just a couple weeks.  But, there's plenty of time to check out how your district operates, and whether you could make a contribution.  Charles Borgognoni, executive director of the Central New York School Boards Association, says there's a brochure that's downloadable, with information on how to start the involvement process.  To get a hard copy, email jsmith@cnysba.org or call 463-1904.

The same website has information on districts here in Central New York---worth checking even if you don't want to run for office.
