SCHROEPPEL -- The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a serious motorcycle crash.

It happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday on County Route 57 in Schroeppel near Hoag Drive.

Deputies said Laurie Lippke, 51, of Baldwinsville, was pulled off the road on the right shoulder heading north on CR 57, just south of Hoag Drive. She let several cars pass before heading back on the roadway.

That's when sheriff's deputies said a motorcycle, driven by Parker Farley, 22, of Oswego, crashed into the side of Lippke's Chevrolet Malibu.

That collision sent both vehicles across the center line before coming to rest on the other side of the road.

Deputies said Farley was taken to University Hospital in Syracuse.  Oswego County 911 confirms he was taken to the hospital under full traumatic arrest.

Dispatchers said that means he suffered a heart attack as a result of the crash.

Lippke was not hurt in the crash.

Failure to yield the right of way and improper turning appear to have been contributing factors in the incident.
