Agnes Fejerdy, 37, was left paralyzed from the waist down seven years ago in a car accident and she never thought she’d be able to walk on her own again.
Fejerdy is walking again now thanks to an amazing new device known as the Re-Walk.
Fejerdy says the device is easy to use and doesn’t cause any pain or discomfort.
The exo-skeleton robotic walker is only possible due to the progress made in technology over the last five years.
The exo-skeleton was originally developed by governments to provide extra stamina to soldiers in very difficult situations.
With the Re-Walk, Fejerdy can climb stairs and get in and out of a car on her own.
Doctors also say this technology is good for Fejerdy’s overall health; by moving around, she is less likely to suffer bedsores and other skin break downs.
The equipment is worth about $90,000 and is not yet approved by the FDA for home use.
