Update: Victim's name now released
GRANBY -- One man is dead after his car drove off Oswego County's Route 48 in Granby around 8:20 p.m. Saturday night.
State Police say 54-year-old John Flugel, from 505 Pratt Street in Fulton, was killed around 8:20 p.m. Investigators say his 2001 Saturn missed a curve and drifted off the right side of the road, hit a culvert in a ditch, and overturned. The car landed on its roof after striking a sign post. Flugel was alone in the car.
So far no word on the accident's cause as State Police from Fulton continue the investigation.
