Some high schools in central New York are receiving some good grades.
On Tuesday, U.S. News released its list of the best high schools in the nation.
Schools were analyzed at the state level in terms of student performance on state assessments. High schools that made the state cut were eligible for the national ranking in terms of college readiness, based on student performance on Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.
Ithaca High School is ranked 41st in the state and 257th nationally.
Skaneateles High School is ranked 62nd in the state and 450th in the U.S.
Fayetteville-Manlius High School came in at 81st in New York and 624th in the country.
Marcellus High is ranked 96th in the state and 758th nationally.
Lansing High School is ranked 104th in New York and 800th in the U.S.
Baker High School in the Baldwinsville School District is ranked 179th in the state and 1,391st in the country.
