LIVERPOOL -- The Onondaga County Sheriff's Department says there is nothing for parents in Liverpool to worry about after two incidents in which middle school girls say they were approached by a stranger this week.
It happened in the Bayberry neighborhood, according to investigators. Deputies now say there was no threat.
Several students reported being followed by a male in the Bayberry neighborhood after getting off their school bus Tuesday, said Dr. Richard Johns, Liverpool School Superintendent. The bus driver noticed that something was wrong and did not leave the area. The girl, fearing for her safety, got back on the bus and the bus driver took her directly to her home, according to Dr. Johns.
The Liverpool School District is reminding all students to still be cautious of strangers.
