GEDDES -- Country music fans rejoice - a big name country act will be returning to the State Fair grandstand this summer.

Four-time Grammy Award winner Keith Urban will be a part of the New York State Fair's Grandstand concert series, according to a news release sent out by Fair officials Thursday morning. Urban will perform on Friday, August 24 at 7:30 p.m.

"Keith Urban has had long lasting success in country music," said Dan O'Hara, New York State Fair director. "This will be a show Fairgoers won't want to miss."

This will be Urban's second New York State Fair performance. He first appeared at the Fair in 2006, selling out the Grandstand.

The Fair says tickets will cost $65, $55 or $45, but an on-sale date has not yet been set.

David Nail, known for his country hit "Let it Rain", will open for Urban. He performed at a Chevy Court free concert last summer.

Urban is the second announced concert of the 2012 Grandstand series. Jason Aldean will perform on August 31, with Luke Bryan as the opening act.
