Te Sa was convicted of vehicular manslaughter.
SYRACUSE -- A woman found guilty of backing her car into another woman and killing her was sentenced in court Tuesday morning.
Te Sa pleaded guilty to charges of second degree vehicular manslaughter. She was sentenced to a minimum of 2 and 1/3 years to a maximum of 7 year in prison.
Police say Sa was driving down the 600 block of East Division Street in March when she crashed into a parked car. Her car got stuck and when she tried to dislodge it, the car shot backwards, hitting 41-year-old Anna Russo-Young who was walking on the sidewalk. Russo-Young was pinned between the car and a concrete block.
Police say Sa pulled forward, then backed up a second time, striking Russo-Young again. Russo-Young was taken to the hospital where she later died.
Police say Sa was driving drunk at the time.
