An Oswego County woman who left her young child to die in a hot camper is out of prison.

Sara Landers, 24, of Fulton, pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide. She admitted to leaving nine-month-old Reba Jean Barton inside a closed camper in July of 2010. The temperature soared into the 90s that day. Landers went swimming while her daughter was in the camper. The infant died of hyperthermia.

Landers was sentenced to a minimum of one year and four months in prison back in January of 2011.
