BREWERTON -- One person has been hit by a car after attempting to cross the road on Interstate 81 North near the Bartel Road exit in Brewerton. It happened Thursday shortly after 9:30 p.m.
Troopers say Michael Moore, of Pennellville, was walking west across the northbound lanes when he was hit by a pickup truck.
The driver of another vehicle told police that she also may have struck Moore while he was on the ground.
Moore is listed in critical condition Friday morning at a Syracuse hospital.
State Police were on the scene late into the night investigating the incident.
Troopers say neither driver will face charges.
