LAFAYETTE -- A Jamesville man recently accused of smashing the Manlius swan eggs last month is now accused of speeding through Lafayette at over 100 mph.

State Police say they arrested 23-year-old Ross Leone for driving at a wild speed of 109 mph through the Town of Lafayette.

Police say Leone was stopped shortly after 11pm Monday night and charged with reckless driving, speeding, and operating in violation of conditional license. His license was a conditional due to a pending DWI charge.

In April, Leone was arrested for allegedly stealing and destroying seven swan eggs  from the Manlius Swan Pond, smashing them against the sidewalk and wall, after he had allegedly been drinking at Buffoons bar.

Leone was arraigned in the Town of Lafayette Court and held on $2500.00 bail. He is to appear in court on June 7.
