SYRACUSE -- Brenna Stewart was a star on the Cicero-North Syracuse High School basketball team, averaging 22 points and 15 rebounds per game.

Stewart is featured on the 2012 PARADE All-American High School Girls Basketball Team.

Earlier this year, Stewart was named Miss New York Basketball for 2012 by the Basketball Coaches Association and was recognized as the Naismith Female High School Player of the Year.

Stewart also played in the McDonald's All-American basketball games and started for the East team in the girls game. The All-American game is one of the top honors in high school sports.

Other honors include 2011 New York State Gatorade Player of the Year, 2011 USA Women's Basketball Player of the Year, and McDonald's All-American.

Stewart is headed to University of Connecticut this fall.
