ROME -- An Oneida County man is accused of causing serious injuries to an eight-week-old infant.

Jonathon Greener, 20, was arrested Thursday after an investigation that lasted five months. Rome Police got a call about an injured child at Greener's home on North Washington Street back on January 8th. Police say the child had several broken bones that were in various stages of healing.

Greener is charged with five counts of assault in the second degree. Police say he injured the child on more than one occasion.

Police are not releasing any information about the relationship between Greener and the child.

Greener now lives in Clinton. He was arrested and sent to the Oneida County Jail on $50,000 bail.
