17-foot boat was taking on water near Ginna Nuclear Plant
Two boaters are safe, rescued as their boat was sinking in Lake Ontario
The Coast Guard from Sodus Point rescued two boaters on Lake Ontario Saturday night, and says life jackets may have saved their lives.
The Wayne County Sheriff's Department called in the Coast Guard, about 7:50pm on Saturday night, on reports of a 17-foot pleasure craft taking on water near the Ginna Nuclear Plant, in Ontario. Two boaters were pulled off the semi-submerged boat and are fine. Deputies towed the boat to the Bear Creek boat launch.
