Wet weather, warm hearts as over 1,000 turn out
The $187, 362 collected this morning puts the total for this year's AIDS Walk-run at over $2million, a record
Over one thousand braved a downpour on Sunday morning to be part of the AIDS Walk-Run at Beaver Lake Nature Center. It was the 20th anniversary edition, and when they added in the $187,362 collected this morning, their grand total was $2,105,445--a new fundraising record for the event.
All of the money stays with AIDS Community Resources, to be used for HIV/STD prevention through Teen AIDS Task Force outreach programs.
