SYRACUSE -- Onondaga County lawmakers have finished voting on the budget for Onondaga Community College.

More than $1.1 million has been cut from the school's capital improvement budget. The operating budget will remain the same from last year.

OCC still hopes to build new sidewalks and complete its baseball field.

This year, the OCC budget has been under intense scrutiny after battles for events between the new SRC Arena and the Oncenter, along with questions about the contracts for SRC Arena

Lawmakers rejected an increase in taxpayer subsidies for the school last week.
