FULTON -- State Police are seeking the public's help in finding a Central New York man who went missing not long after being released from a mental health facility.

Troopers in Oswego County say 48-year-old John T. Humphrey of Oswego was last seen at the Sumatra Apartments in Oswego last Friday. Police say he was reportedly spotted walking along state Route 481 in Oswego on Tuesday, but authorities were unable to find him.

Humphrey was recently released from a mental health facility. Troopers say he was in his residence the day before he went missing.

Police say Humphrey is a white male, standing 5'6" tall and weighing 120 pounds. He has gray hair with a beard and mustache. Police say he was last seen wearing jeans and a dark blue sweatshirt.

Police say Humphrey may be hostile toward law enforcement and has a history of paranoia. Humphrey is supposed to be taking medication, but he may have stopped.

Anyone with information on Humphrey's whereabouts is asked to call State Police in Fulton at 315-593-6194.
