The Polish Festival is underway in Syracuse's Clinton Square. The festival runs throughout the weekend, and it's a celebration of Polish heritage.
The festival features Polish music and crafts.
"At the Polish Fest, I love going through all the jewelry because all the amber comes straight from Poland," says Nicole Sidorowicz, a contestant in this year's Miss Polonia pageant.
Of course, many people attend the festival to try the authentic Polish food.
Karolina Marcinkowski, from Eva's Polish Restaurant, says the restaurant has been dishing up Polish favorites to people for 15 years.
"We're always happy to hear when they give us a compliment, like 'It's just like my mother's or grandmother's,'" says Marcinkowski. "They're familiar with the food, and they say it tastes just like their parents or grandparents made it."
Festival organizers also give out scholarships on Sunday. The festival is free to attend.
