MANLIUS -- A bicycle worth $5,500 is missing and Manlius Police need your help finding the man they say took it.

On Sunday, a man went into the Bike Loft East store on West Seneca Turnpike in Manlius and asked to take a 2012 BMC Race Machine bicycle for a test ride, according to police.

The man rode around the parking lot on the bike before asking store employees to adjust the handlebars.

The man then left again for a test run and did not come back.

Store employees say the bicycle is rare, and may be only one of three in New York State.

Any information about the man in the picture or about the bike can be given to Officer Ben Kapusta at 315-682-2212.

Tips may also be left anonymously at 315-682-TMPD or by sending an e-mail to TIPS@manliuspolice.org.
