ONEIDA --

One of Oneida County’s top ten most wanted individuals was taken into custody Thursday.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office says that 27-year-old Amber Mezza was wanted since March 2007.

Mezza was wanted for a violation of probation for grand larceny.

During the investigation, officials say numerous leads since 2007 led investigators to believe that Mezza was somewhere in the Bronx, NY, area.

The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office has been working with the Bronx County Sheriff's Office to locate Mezza since 2010.

Officials say they obtained new information that led them to Mezza in the Bronx on Tuesday.

Mezza was turned over to Oneida County Sheriff's Office and committed to Oneida County Jail. She will appear in Oneida County Court for arraignment at a later date.
