SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police Chief Frank Fowler and Fire Chief Mark McLees are asking for your help as they try to track down whoever may be responsible for setting as many as seven fires in the Tipperary Hill section of the city over the last month and a half.
The police and fire departments are investigating seven fires that happened between May 4th and June 18th, including a fatal fire on Cayuga Street early Monday morning.
Of those, investigators say three were intentionally set. The cause of three others remain "undetermined," according to Chief Fowler.
The cause of the fire at 424 Cayuga Street fire remains under investigation.
Fred Brown, 90, died from smoke and heat inhalation yesterday. He was pulled from his burning home early Monday morning.
Now Fowler and McLees are asking people who live in the Tipperary Hood neighborhood to be on the lookout for suspicious people and activity.
