SYRACUSE -- Three Central New York natives and members of the NFL were back here today teaching kids the importance of living healthy.
Former Indianapolis Colts running back Mike Hart, Tyvon Branch of the Oakland Raiders, and Jo-lonn Dunbar of the New Orleans Saints were at Grant Middle School in Syracuse as part of the "Fuel up to play 60" campaign.
The program teaches kids how they can succeed in school and in life by exercising just 60 minutes a day.
“The problem in America today with obesity and what these kids are eatin' and all of this fast food. It’s good to get these kids and to make them understand to get up and move around for an hour a day. It's all you need to do," says Hart.
All three athletes said it feels great to be back in central New York. Mike Hart went to Onondaga High School, Jo-Lonn Dunbar went to Corcoran and Tyvon Branch graduated from Cicero-North Syracuse.
