JAMESVILLE -- The Syracuse Jazz festival is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. For the first time in ten years, the event is not being held at Onondaga Community College. Now, it has a new home in Jamesville Beach.

Guests at the festival seem to like the new location. "I love it. I love it," says event vendor Irene Singerfragale. "It's very nice. I like the way it's set up. And I like it here at Jamesville Beach. It's very nice and, you know, not that I didn't like it at OCC because I did, but I like the grass. It's nice."

Some of the musicians at this year's event include Kenny G, Haer Donovan, Average White Band, and Billy Vera and his 18-piece All-Star Syracuse Band.

The event is completely free, except for a $5 parking fee. The festival runs all day Saturday from 3:30 until 11pm when the event ends with a fireworks show.
