NEW ROCHELLE, NY -- State police in Westchester County say a tour bus crash just north of New York City has sent 24 people to the hospital.
The bus was traveling from Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut to Queens. Police say a little after 6 a.m. Wednesday, the bus went out of control while it was heading south on I-95 in New Rochelle.
It hit a center median barrier, crossed back over three southbound lanes, and slid about 500 feet along an outer barrier wall before stopping.
The driver and all 23 passengers were taken to area hospitals, but fortunately, none of them were seriously injured.
Investigators are trying to determine what caused the bus to go out of control. No charges have been filed, yet.
