SYRACUSE -- A "Freedom Walk" is planned for 6pm on Wednesday July 4th at the State Fairgrounds in Geddes. It is being organized by the Forsaken Generation group and will raise awareness of child sex trafficking.

The U.S. State Department has said child and human trafficking is the second largest criminal enterprise in the world, second only to illegal drugs. The Justice Department has said 300,000 children are at risk for commercial sexual exploitation every year.

The Forsaken Generation has asked participant to wear red or carry a sign. The Forsaken Generation says tonight's 34 minute walk will be symbolize the 34 children are forced into prostitution every hour in the U.S.
