BREWERTON -- A man found dead in Oneida Lake may have been high on bath salts when he died.

The discovery was made Monday just after 5:30 p.m. by the owner of the Castaways Restaurant in Brewerton.

The body was identified as Michael C. Thompson, 34, of Brewerton. He was last seen Saturday around 3:00 a.m. knocking on doors in his neighborhood, yelling, and acting in a bizarre manner, according to police.

Police say Thompson had no obvious signs of trauma and was wrapped around the dock not far from the Interstate 81 overpass.

It's unknown how long the body was in the water, according to investigators.

An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday at the Onondaga County Medical Examiner's Office to determine the exact cause of death.
