Syracuse Police investigate Arthur Street shooting

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened Thursday night around 11:20 p.m.

It happened in the 300 block of Arthur Street, about a block from the intersection of South Geddes Street and West Onondaga Street.

Police say 23-year-old Gamaliel Ortiz was driving on Arthur Street when he was shot at through the driver's side door and window. He was shot in left shoulder and right leg.

Ortiz was taken to Upstate University hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say Ortiz was uncooperative with detectives investigating the shooting and three is no suspect information at this time.
