A Central New York native is getting her chance to shine on a new show on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Rawan Jabaji is from Baldwinsville and went to Syracuse University. She stopped by CNYCentral on Sunday to tell us about her new show "Culture Shock."

In the show, she's one of three journalists who travel around the world to learn about different marriage and relationship customs. Jabaji went to India, where she followed around a matchmaker.

"It was so fun, which i think is so important for a job, for you to enjoy it," says Jabaji. "It allowed me to see India, to experience it, to connect with people in a way I never have. Then, i got to take all that stuff and come back here and everyone gets to see it!"

"Culture Shock" aired on the OWN network Sunday night. From this point, it could be picked up as a regular TV series.
