Syracuse Police investigating West Lafayette Street Avenue

SYRACUSE -- Syracuse Police say they are investigating a shooting that happened on Wednesday in the 200 block of West Lafayette Street.

Police say Michael Dee, 23, of Syracuse, was shot in the leg around 8:25 a.m. and was taken to Upstate University Hospital in critical condition. He has since been stabilized and is expected to survive.

While there is very little suspect information at this time, police say witnesses saw three black males running from the scene after the shooting.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to contact them at 315-442-5222. All calls will be kept strictly confidential.
