Oswego's Harborfest is celebrating its 25th anniversary this weekend.

OSWEGO -- Oswego’s Harborfest is celebrating its 25th anniversary this weekend. The event is family friendly, drawing many closer together.
“My brother flew in from Seattle,” said Harborfest guest Rob Doran. “My other brother lives in town. So we can get everyone together for this event. Usually once a year, it is the time to get the family together.”
Harborfest features plenty of food, vendors, and music. Some came out for all of it. “We like the vendors,” said Cindi Herrman, who has been attending Harborfest for nearly 20 years. “And we like to see the shows, too. So usually in the evening, it’s nice to sit in the park and listen to the music. And you see old friends, too.”
The vendors who sell at Harborfest enjoy the weekend as well. “It’s a lot of work, but we love it,” said Thomas Calderone, who is working a booth for Garafolo’s Sandwich Shop. “We love the people. Yeah, it’s great. That’s why we do it – the people.”
Harborfest is going all weekend until Sunday. Saturday night will feature a concert from Dave Matthews cover band Big Eyed Phish, followed by a fireworks show at 9:30pm.
