OSWEGO COUNTY -- The Oswego County Emergency Management Office will be testing the emergency notification sirens surrounding the three nuclear power plants at Nine Mile Point Monday, August 6, through Friday, August 10. They will sound between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The tests are part of the regular testing of the Oswego County Emergency Alert System and includes sounding each siren.

No response is required during these tests. If an actual event occurs during the tests, the Emergency Alert System will be activated on radio and television.

Anyone with questions regarding the tests or any aspect of emergency planning can contact the Oswego Management office at 315-591-9150 or 1-800-962-2792. More information is available on its website.
