A Syracuse man was arrested after a police officer saw him fire a gun around 1:55 a.m. Tuesday morning.
Officials say a Syracuse police officer was on patrol and saw a man firing shots on the 200 block of Elk Street.
Police say the officer called for back-up and then chased the shooter, who ran from the scene.
After more officers arrived on scene, police say they located and attested 22-year old Robert Zorrilla Jr., of Syracuse, on South State Street.
Police say Zorrilla was unarmed when they caught him, but they found a loaded Llama 9mm semi-automatic handgun in the path he ran.
No one was injured in the shooting, but an un-manned vehicle was struck by a bullet on Elk Street.
Police charged Zorrilla with second degree criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest.
Zorrilla is scheduled to be arraigned in the Syracuse Justice Center on Tuesday.
